Hey 👋

We have your Weekly Tech Crunch ready for implementation. Check out these amazing tools that you can add to your coding work flow.

React 19.1 Released

19.1 brings a lot to the table in terms of fixes, small additions (e.g. support for streaming in edge environments), a new API for prerendering RSCs on the server (as supported in Parcel 2.14.0), and enhanced Suspense support. The headline feature, though, is ‘Owner Stacks’, a development-only feature for more easily tracking which components are responsible for rendering other components.

How Clerk integrates with a Next.js application using Supabase

Supabase breaks the norms of traditional software architecture, but can still save you development hours and potentially increase the security of your Next.js application. Learn more in our latest blog post.

React Email 4.0: Components for Creating Emails

React Email is a suite of unstyled React components for creating elegant emails. Now includes a new linting tool for analyzing links in outgoing emails, a spam scorer, and email client HTML/CSS compatibility checker, as well as a few new components.

TinyBase v6.0: A Reactive Data Store for Local-First Apps

A powerful reactive data store that can be used as the entire backend for many types of app. v6.0 adds no new functionality but brings React 19 support and goes ESM-only. It’s well worth investigating and has some compelling features - check out the homepage for more.

Svggles: A Way to Make SVGs More Interactive with React

Connect an SVG to a React component and add ways to enable visual interactions such as glow effects, animations, and pointer based effects. GitHub repo.

RFC: Deployment Adapters API

Vercel is making standalone Next.js deployments way easier with a new deployment adapters API. This will give other hosting platforms like Cloudflare, Netlify, or even your own server a consistent way to work with Next.js. Vercel will use the same interface for deployments on their infrastructure.

Our Book Recommendation For You

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together...Read More

Apple's New M5 Ultra
For years, running a serious AI model locally meant accepting a compromise. You got privacy and control, but nowhere near the memory or speed of the cloud. Apple just pushed that trade-off much further with M5 Ultra: its most powerful chip ever, inside a Mac Studio that can hold up to 512GB of unified memory and cluster with other machines for distributed AI inference. That makes local AI infra...
Grok 4.6 is unusually cheap for a frontier model
The biggest surprise in the new Grok release is not the benchmark chart. It is the price. SpaceXAI has released Grok 4.6 for long-running agents, coding and knowledge work, starting at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens. SpaceXAI positions it as a frontier model, and its standard API price is unusually low compared with the flagship models it is trying to compete with....
OpenAI’s upcoming model Astra could be its biggest AI breakthrough yet
OpenAI has finally named what comes after GPT-5.6 Sol. It is called Astra, and OpenAI is describing it as its “next major model.” It is not publicly available yet, and there is no confirmed release date. But the first official evidence of its capability is already here. This is not another chart showing a model scored a few points higher on a benchmark. OpenAI says an internal Astra model gener...
