Hey 👋

We have your Weekly Tech Crunch ready for implementation. Check out these amazing tools that you can add to your coding work flow.

React v19 Released (For Real This Time)

An early Christmas present! First teased in the React Labs February 2024 post, React 19 has been cooking for long enough (and in beta for 8 months) there’s already a wealth of content out there, like the React 19 upgrade guide, an explanation of the compiler, cheat sheets, and a roundup of what’s new in React 19. It’s here, and it’s time to re-explore Actions, the new hooks, use, Server Components, and more.

Boa v0.20: An Alternative JavaScript Compiler

Under development for several years, Boa has a few missions: be a Rust ECMAScript implementation, be easy to embed in Rust projects, and be a fast, safe JS engine overall. v0.20 sees a bump up to 89.92% compliance in the Test262 suite, improves Temporal support, adds Atomics.pause, and more. This is no toy engine.

Next.js 15.1: Now Officially Supporting React 19

As (almost) the de facto React framework, it’s no surprise a Next.js release quickly followed the React 19 announcement. As well as React 19 support, there are improvements for debugging errors (shown in this post), after() is now stable, and forbidden() and unauthorized() are two new experimental ways to trigger 403 and 401 errors.

The State of Node.js Performance in 2024

A thorough set of benchmarks covering recent performance advancements made in Node.js. The improvements between Node 18 and 20 up to version 22 might surprise you - it’s clear the team has put a lot of work into this area.

How to Build a SolidJS App with Deno

SolidJS is a declarative library for creating user interfaces that emphasizes fine-grained reactivity and minimal overhead and it plays well with Deno.

Termo: An Easy to Use Terminal Control for Websites

If you want to offer a terminal emulator style feature on your site (maybe for advanced users, to enhance your docs, or even just as an easter egg), Termo enhances Xterm.js and presents a slick experience.

Claude agents learned to dream and self-improve
This week the AI coding story is not “one more chatbot inside an editor.” It is something much bigger: agents are getting their own memory, their own workspaces, their own tools, and their own security problems. That is the shift. 🔥 The Big One Claude’s new dreaming feature is how agents start improving between runs. This is the story that deserves the cover. Anthropic just introduced dreamin...
AI agents just got their own computers
I think this is the week the AI coding conversation quietly changed. Not because one model got slightly smarter, but because the tools around agents started looking more like real operating systems for builders. 🔥 The Big One Manus Cloud Computer shows where agentic software is heading. Manus launched Cloud Computer this week — a dedicated cloud machine where agents, bots, scripts, databases, ...
GitHub just changed how teams use AI agents
I used to think the AI coding race was mainly about which model wrote the best function. This week made it obvious: the real race is who can turn agent work into something teams can trust, review, and measure. 🔥 The Big One GitHub Copilot is becoming an async teammate — and now teams can measure the work. GitHub's Copilot cloud agent is moving beyond simple pull-request workflows. That is the...
