React v19 Released (For Real This Time)

An early Christmas present! First teased in the React Labs February 2024 post, React 19 has been cooking for long enough (and in beta for 8 months) there’s already a wealth of content out there, like the React 19 upgrade guide, an explanation of the compiler, cheat sheets, and a roundup of what’s new in React 19. It’s here, and it’s time to re-explore Actions, the new hooks, use, Server Components, and more.

Boa v0.20: An Alternative JavaScript Compiler

Under development for several years, Boa has a few missions: be a Rust ECMAScript implementation, be easy to embed in Rust projects, and be a fast, safe JS engine overall. v0.20 sees a bump up to 89.92% compliance in the Test262 suite, improves Temporal support, adds Atomics.pause, and more. This is no toy engine.

Next.js 15.1: Now Officially Supporting React 19

As (almost) the de facto React framework, it’s no surprise a Next.js release quickly followed the React 19 announcement. As well as React 19 support, there are improvements for debugging errors (shown in this post), after() is now stable, and forbidden() and unauthorized() are two new experimental ways to trigger 403 and 401 errors.

The State of Node.js Performance in 2024

A thorough set of benchmarks covering recent performance advancements made in Node.js. The improvements between Node 18 and 20 up to version 22 might surprise you - it’s clear the team has put a lot of work into this area.

35% of Cursor's PRs are now written by AI agents!
This week felt like a turning point. Not a "cool new feature" kind of week — a the entire game just changed kind of week. Let me break it all down. šŸ”„ The Big One Cursor Just Launched Fully Autonomous Cloud Agents This is the one that stopped me mid-scroll. Cursor just dropped Cloud Agents — fully autonomous AI coding agents that run on cloud VMs. Not autocomplete. Not "helpful suggestions." A...

I replaced half my workflow with 8 AI agents (here's what actually works)
Hey Sonny here! šŸ‘‹šŸ¼ I've been meaning to write about this for a few weeks now but I wanted to make sure it actually worked first. Ā  I built a team of 8 AI agents that run different parts of my business. Not one chatbot trying to do everything — I tried that for months and it was chaos. Eight specialized agents, each with a specific job, working together. Ā  Let me break it down šŸ‘‡šŸ¼ So here's w...
